Chunghwa Post stated today that the field employee was riding against traffic to buy a cold drink due to the hot weather. The employee will be disciplined according to regulations, and the company will urge personnel to abide by traffic rules and strengthen educational training will be strengthened.
Chunghwa Post's Taichung Post Office explained in a written statement that a field employee from the Beitun delivery section of the Taichung Post Office's postal division was riding a motorcycle to deliver mail around 11:34 AM yesterday. Due to the hot weather, the employee turned right from Songyi Street to Songzhu Road Section 2 in Beitun District and rode against traffic to buy a cold drink.
Chunghwa Post pointed out that all postal units have been asked to use this case to once again urge field employees to strictly abide by traffic rules and to strengthen driving safety education and training to maintain driving safety.
