Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung Brace for Heavy Rain; Taipei, New Taipei, Chiayi, Penghu Advised of Downpours

(CNA Taipei, June 25) The Central Weather Administration has issued a heavy rain advisory. Affected by Typhoon No. 7 moving north, an approaching front, and strengthening southwesterly winds, short-duration heavy rainfall is likely. Today, Pingtung County may experience localized torrential or extremely heavy rain, while Tainan City and Kaohsiung City may see localized heavy or torrential rain. Taipei, New Taipei, Chiayi, Penghu, and the mountainous areas of Taitung have a chance of localized heavy rain.

The Weather Administration reminds the public to be aware of lightning, strong gusts, and rising river levels.
