(CNA reporter Hsu Po-yen Nantou County June 24) The Craft Center is launching a children's craft exhibition to inspire children to understand materials, processes, and creative thinking. It also encourages children to cultivate observation, creativity, and sensory abilities through exploration and hands-on activities, hoping to help children establish connections with crafts, the land, and life.
The National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute is launching the "Craft Future: Adventure in Mountains and Seas" children's craft exhibition starting today. Inspired by Taiwan's mountain and sea landscapes, the exhibition combines aesthetic experience, multi-sensory exploration, and inclusive design to create a children's experience space that embodies craft education and a universally friendly spirit. It invites children to embark on a craft journey through observation, touch, listening, and creation.
The Craft Center held an opening ceremony today. Chen Dian-li, Director of the Craft Center, stated that the center has created a craft exploration base for children. Starting from the spirit of co-learning and co-sharing advocated by the "Living Water of Craft" initiative, it connects crafts with nature, culture, and life, allowing children to feel the beauty of crafts and bring that inspiration back to their families and schools, making crafts a part of their daily growth.
The Craft Center said that the "Craft Seekers' Secrets" exhibition area focuses on exploring craft knowledge. Through multi-sensory experiences, it inspires children to understand craft materials, production processes, and creative thinking. It presents craft works in an engaging way, allowing children to gradually learn about craft culture through viewing, feeling, and understanding.
The Craft Center stated that the "Craft Play Zone" exhibition area centers on interactive experiences, featuring a mosaic magnet wall, a weaving wall, a light and shadow interactive area, dyeing fabric blocks, and a woodworking play area. It encourages children to explore and use their hands, experiencing the material properties, spatial concepts, and life wisdom embedded in crafts through play and creation, embodying the educational spirit of "learning through play, learning by doing."
