(London, June 24, CNA, Reuters) Affected by market expectations of a US interest rate hike, the price of gold fell below $4,000 per ounce today, the first time since November last year.
According to AFP, gold fell 3.4% to $3,978.67 per ounce. If interest rates are raised, the US dollar and US Treasury bonds will become more attractive safe-haven assets than gold. (Compiled by: Ho Hung-ju) 1150624
