(CNA, Reporter: Tseng Jen-kai, Taipei, June 24) Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII), impacted by its subsidiary Simplo Technology's recognition of losses from advance payments for wind power projects, reported a net loss of NT$6.62 per share in 2025. To reward shareholders for their support, the general shareholders' meeting held today approved a cash dividend of NT$1 per share.

FII held its general shareholders' meeting today. FII Chairman Terry Gou stated in his business report that last year was a challenging and pivotal year for the FII Group, with a net loss attributable to the parent company of NT$3.065 billion, marking the largest annual loss in its history.

Gou explained that FII's loss last year was primarily due to its subsidiary Simplo Technology's subsidiary, Foxwell Energy, undertaking major projects such as offshore wind power. Factors such as geopolitical impacts leading to rising supply chain costs, extreme weather affecting construction days, and significant fluctuations in international engineering materials, all considered force majeure, resulted in construction cost overruns and substantial phased losses, which in turn eroded FII's consolidated profits.

Gou emphasized that despite the impact on the energy business, FII's core component and system product businesses maintained stable profitability. The company is actively deploying AI-related application products and key components, investing in the development of next-generation high-speed transmission and high-power power management solutions to address the explosive demand for high-performance computing and terminal intelligence, with the aim of reversing the situation in the shortest possible time.

The FII shareholders' meeting also held a board director election, electing a total of 5 directors and 4 independent directors. The new directors include Terry Gou, Wang Tiao-chun, Li Zheng, Huang Chung-hsin, and Luo Yu-chen. The 4 independent directors are former ETtoday News Cloud Chairman Lee Chuan-wei, Tsing Hua University Department of Power Mechanical Engineering Professor Fu Chien-chung, National Taiwan University Department of Accounting Associate Professor Tseng Chih-yang, and Tamkang University Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering Professor Chang Li-chiu.
