Central Weather Administration Issues Heavy Rain Advisory for Tainan, Pingtung, and South of Chiayi

(CNA Taipei, June 25) The Central Weather Administration has issued a heavy rain advisory. Affected by Typhoon No. 7 moving north, an approaching front, and strengthening southwesterly winds, short-duration heavy rainfall is likely. Today, Tainan City and Pingtung County may experience localized heavy to torrential rain, while areas south of Chiayi have a chance of localized heavy rain.

The Weather Administration reminds the public to be aware of lightning strikes, strong gusts, and rising river levels. Low-lying areas should be cautious of flooding, and mountainous areas should be wary of landslides and falling rocks. (Editor: Chen Cheng-chien) 1150625
