NTNU stated in a press release today that over 1,600 universities worldwide participated in this year's evaluation. NTNU's overall ranking has jumped from the 301-400 band last year to the global 101-200 band. NTNU President Sung Yao-ting stated that the university will continue to focus on the UN SDGs, deepen sustainable governance, enhance teaching and research, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and social participation, and work with the government, industry, and society to promote sustainable development, moving towards becoming a sustainable university that combines educational mission, social responsibility, and global competitiveness.
Yuan Ze University's press release indicated that its overall ranking has significantly improved to the global 101-200 band, setting a new record in the university's history and demonstrating the results of its efforts in promoting sustainable campus operations, SDG education and research, and industry-academia collaboration in recent years.
Yuan Ze University integrates engineering technology, AI applications, sustainable governance, and industry-academia resources to promote sustainable transformation from campus to industry. It continues to deepen the integration of SDGs into its curriculum, research, and campus governance, and collaborates with international technology companies and partners in the semiconductor and manufacturing industries to cultivate talent in AI, cloud computing, smart manufacturing, and digital transformation. Simultaneously, it assists Far Eastern New Century in promoting smart manufacturing, expanding its industry-academia sustainable impact.
Yuan Ze University President Liao Ching-jung mentioned that this significant leap in ranking represents the international community's recognition of Yuan Ze's sustainable development achievements. Sustainability is not just about campus energy conservation and carbon reduction, but also the educational responsibility and social commitment of a university. In the future, Yuan Ze will focus on AI, semiconductors, smart manufacturing, and internationalization as its core strengths to cultivate talent with both professional capabilities and sustainable literacy.
