The Central Weather Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications observed that as of 2 p.m. today, the center of Typhoon Mikala was located at 24.6 degrees north latitude and 125.8 degrees east longitude, moving north-northeast at a speed of 17 kilometers per hour.
Due to the influence of Mikala, flights to Japan tomorrow will be affected. EVA Air's BR112 and BR113 flights between Taoyuan and Okinawa tomorrow have been canceled.
China Airlines stated that tomorrow's CI120/CI121 Taoyuan-Okinawa flights have been canceled; CI122/CI123 Taoyuan-Okinawa flights will be upgraded and delayed; CI132/CI133 Kaohsiung-Okinawa flights will be delayed.
Starlux Airlines pointed out that tomorrow's JX302 Taichung-Okinawa will be delayed until 2:55 p.m. for departure, and JX303 Okinawa-Taichung will be delayed until 6:30 p.m. for departure; JX870 Taipei-Okinawa will be delayed until 2:20 p.m. for departure; JX871 Okinawa-Taipei will be delayed until 6:10 p.m. for departure.
Tigerair Taiwan stated that IT230/IT231 Taoyuan-Okinawa Naha and IT288/IT289 Kaohsiung-Okinawa Naha will be postponed to the 27th, and the flight numbers will be adjusted to IT2288/IT2289; tomorrow's IT792 Taichung to Okinawa Naha and IT729 Okinawa Naha to Kaohsiung flights have been canceled.
