Taiwan Stocks Rise Over 600 Points Intra-day, Back Above 45200

(CNA, Reporter Pan Chih-yi, Taipei, June 29) Taiwan stocks opened higher and continued to rise today. The intra-day high reached 45521.63 points, an increase of 949.87 points. Around 10:39 AM, the weighted index reached 45202.94 points, up 631.18 points, a gain of 1.42%, with a transaction value of NT$553.236 billion.

Blue-chip stock TSMC traded at NT$2395 intra-day, up NT$55. Delta Electronics rose NT$160 to NT$1970, and Hon Hai reached a high of NT$252, up NT$3.5.

E-paper manufacturer E Ink traded at the daily limit of NT$214.5 intra-day, while Winstar and Jui Cheng saw small gains.

LED manufacturer LGD traded at the daily limit of NT$20.05 intra-day. Ennostar once rose over 3%, while Everlight Electronics saw a slight decrease.

Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite concept stock StarCom traded at NT$1345 intra-day, surging 9.34%. Huatung reached a high of NT$228, up 2.47%, and Taiflex Scientific reached NT$5450, up NT$195, a gain of 3.71%. (Editor: Chang Chun-mao) 1150629
