Woman Sprays Cosmetics Store Front with Fire Extinguisher Early Morning; Sanchong Police Identify Suspect

(CNA, reporter Wang Hong-kuo, New Taipei, June 29) Outside a chain cosmetics store on Section 1, Ziqiang Road in New Taipei City's Sanchong District, a woman suddenly sprayed the storefront with a fire extinguisher around midnight today before leaving, causing the area to be temporarily filled with dust. The police were notified and dispatched officers to investigate, identifying a suspect who will be summoned for questioning. The suspect is a 40-year-old woman.

The Sanchong Precinct explained in a statement that they received a report early this morning about a woman spraying the storefront of a chain cosmetics store with a fire extinguisher. Officers were immediately dispatched, but by the time they arrived, the woman involved had already left on foot. The police immediately reviewed surveillance footage to begin their investigation.

The police stated that they have identified the suspect as a 40-year-old woman surnamed Li. It is unclear why she used a roadside fire extinguisher to spray the store. Li will be summoned for questioning to clarify the incident. After questioning, she will be transferred to the prosecutor's office for investigation on charges of property damage.
