(CNA) - Cable and stainless steel manufacturer Walsin Lihwa announced today that prices for its stainless steel wire rod products in July, including the 200, 300, and 400 series, will remain flat.
Walsin Lihwa stated that influenced by a stronger US dollar, metal prices have shown volatile trends, with major stainless steel raw materials like nickel and scrap stainless steel seeing weaker markets. However, some raw materials like molybdenum iron continue to rise, and coupled with peak summer electricity usage, steel mills' cost pressures remain significant.
Walsin Lihwa indicated that after comprehensive evaluation, considering the overall order competitiveness of its customers, the July prices for wire rod products will be maintained at the current level. (Editor: Yang Lan-hsuan) 1150629
