Huang Chieh-han ready to be immediate asset for Brothers, looks up to Cheng Hao-chun

Before the draft, external observers expected Huang Chieh-han to be selected in the first three rounds. Regarding the draft results, Huang Chieh-han believes that was just external opinion and he doesn't feel much pressure. "No matter what, I'll get in first and get my ticket," he said, jokingly adding, "If you want to play in the All-Star Game, you seem to have to be chosen by the Brothers first." After praising the Brothers' popularity, he immediately emphasized that players must still work hard themselves.

Huang Chieh-han entered the draft after graduating from high school in 2022 but was not selected. After years of training in university, he finally realized his dream. He believes his greatest growth has been in his mental fortitude and physical condition, with the sports science at National Taiwan Sport University helping a lot. He is ready to be an immediate asset given his age. "The team chose me because they believe I have the ability to help the team, and I'm not a high school student anymore."

However, Huang Chieh-han admits that his biggest challenge is still control. "This is something everyone knows, and it might be one of the reasons I fell to a later round." After joining the Brothers, he most looks forward to interacting with pitching coach Wang Chien-ming.

During his time at National Taiwan Sport University, Huang Chieh-han saw Cheng Hao-chun return to campus for training. "He is very diligent every day, doing some post-surgery recovery.
