(Central News Agency, reporter Chang Jung-hsiang, Tainan, June 30) Li Ming-feng, former director of the Tainan City Fire Bureau, is suspected of lobbying private entities to donate high-pressure water mist units or pump fire trucks, and then accepting bribes totaling NT$1.6 million from businesses. The Tainan District Prosecutors Office concluded its investigation and indicted him. The Tainan District Court today sentenced him to 4 years and 6 months in prison. The case is appealable.
