The individual traveled to Cambodia in mid-to-late June, developed symptoms after returning to the country, sought medical attention, and was confirmed positive yesterday.

The Department of Health stated today that Tainan City's 4th imported dengue fever case is a man in his 60s from the Xinying District. He traveled to Cambodia from June 18 to 22. After returning to Taiwan, he attended an event in Hsinchu City on the 27th. In the evening, he experienced symptoms such as fever and back pain and sought medical treatment at a local hospital.

The patient returned to Tainan on the 28th. As his symptoms did not improve, he visited Liuying Chi Mei Hospital for treatment. The physician conducted an NS1 test, which was positive, and reported it. Yesterday, the test results were confirmed positive. The Tainan City Dengue Fever Prevention and Control Center immediately mobilized for emergency spraying, elimination of breeding grounds, and vector mosquito density surveys, and planned chemical control measures.
