Firefighters rescued a male resident, approximately 60 years old, who was found unconscious. He was sent to National Cheng Kung University Hospital and is currently in the intensive care unit for observation. The cause of the fire is under further investigation.
The Tainan City Government Fire Bureau received a report at 6:42 AM about smoke and flames emanating from a store on Zhongshan Road in Rende District. They dispatched 20 vehicles and 45 personnel to the scene. Upon arrival, they found that the fire had started in a single-story tin-roofed building. The storefront was an electric vehicle shop, with a large amount of clutter. It was suspected that a resident had not evacuated, and firefighters immediately began extinguishing the blaze. The fire was put out around 7:07 AM.
During the rescue operation, firefighters discovered a male resident, approximately 60 years old, who was unconscious. He was immediately transported by ambulance to National Cheng Kung University Hospital. After emergency treatment, his vital signs were restored, and he was subsequently admitted to the intensive care unit for observation.
