(CNA, Reporter: Tsai Meng-yu, Kaohsiung, June 30) A investment promotion briefing for the Kaohsiung Light Rail (LRT) C34 station land development project was held in Kaohsiung today. It is estimated to drive approximately NT$10.2 billion in private investment and is the first joint development project to seek investment after the Kaohsiung LRT completes its circular network, aiming to create a new landmark for healthy living.
The Kaohsiung City Government held the "Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit System Circular Light Rail C34 Station Land Development Project" Integrity Platform Establishment Conference and Investment Promotion Briefing this morning in Kaohsiung, symbolizing the official commencement of the investment promotion process for the first joint development project after the LRT forms a complete circle. The briefing attracted many potential investors.
Vice Mayor Lin Chin-jung stated in his speech that the circular LRT C34 station joint development project is estimated to drive approximately NT$10.2 billion in private investment. An investment promotion briefing held in Taipei on the 24th also attracted participation from over 10 companies.
Lin Chin-jung pointed out that the project's core vision is a "multi-generational healthy and comfortable living park." The site is adjacent to the planned AI medical research and teaching base of National Sun Yat-sen University's College of Medicine to the north. A single LRT ride will reach the Department of Health, the Municipal Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Min Sheng Hospital, and Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, offering excellent conditions for integrating medical resources.
Lin Chin-jung said that the city government will utilize the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) strategy to integrate medical and health services, commercial functions, and multi-generational friendly living spaces, creating a living, working, and recreational environment where individuals from children to the elderly can live with peace of mind, thereby constructing a new core for healthy living in the metropolitan area.
Director of the Mass Rapid Transit Bureau, Wu Chia-chang, stated that the project site covers an area of approximately 3,917 ping. The land use zoning is for MRT development, with a statutory plot ratio of 630%. The developable floor area is approximately 36,000 ping (excluding parking spaces). The surrounding living conditions are mature, forming a complete living circle with comprehensive functions for medical care, education, culture, and leisure.
The Mass Rapid Transit Bureau announced that the tender information for the development project was published on June 1st, with the submission deadline set for October 30th. They encourage investment teams to participate actively and jointly promote Kaohsiung's urban and rail transit economic development. (Editor: Li Hsi-chang) 1150630
