NEW YORK (CNA) - American pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce are set to tie the knot this week in a highly anticipated wedding. Due to the couple's extreme secrecy regarding the venue, speculation is rife that they may choose Madison Square Garden in New York.

CNN reported today, citing two sources, that Swift and Kelce will marry this week at Madison Square Garden.

Sources told the outlet that the couple will hold a rehearsal, referred to by sources as a rehearsal, on July 2nd at Madison Square Garden, followed by the wedding on July 3rd, which may continue until 4 AM on July 4th, the day the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary. According to informed sources, approximately 1,000 people are expected to attend the July 3rd wedding event.

Swift and Kelce's grand wedding comes at a time when New York is experiencing its busiest summer. The wedding venue is located at the home arena of The Knicks, who won this year's NBA championship.

Furthermore, the FIFA World Cup has drawn a large influx of tourists to New York, who are not only sightseeing via subway but also trying American ranch salad dressing for the first time.

Now, Swift's fans are also preparing to flock to the city, accompanied by a large contingent of media, for a wedding that has been kept so secret that the outside world knew almost nothing about it until recently.

Even guests seem to be in the dark about the wedding location. George Kittle, a player for the San Francisco 49ers who co-founded Tight End University with Kelce, confirmed he received a wedding invitation but could not pinpoint the exact location. The only certainty is that the couple has told guests, "Absolutely no gifts."

As fans find it hard to believe Swift would choose Madison Square Garden for her wedding, rumors and theories about the venue are flying.

CNN noted in its report that the stadium's nearly impenetrable exterior structure may be one of the reasons it was favored. Additionally, for Swift, who is accustomed to performing in large arenas, such a venue would be very familiar.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani carefully avoided questions about Swift's wedding during a press conference today regarding the upcoming heatwave.

Mamdani said, "If you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you can stay indoors and keep cool, which is a good example for all citizens."

This is not the first time a celebrity has held a wedding at Madison Square Garden. Legendary musician Sly Stone married actress Kathy Silva there in June 1974 during a performance by Sly and the Family Stone. (Compiled by Liu Shu-chin) 1150701
