The Nantou Forest District Office invites visitors to enjoy mountain scenery, sea of clouds, starry skies, and alpine ecology; Cingjing Farm is offering a Family Day every Wednesday during the summer vacation for close interaction with adorable sheep.
The Nantou Forest District Office of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, stated today that the Hehuanshan National Forest Recreation Area, located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, is a great choice for a summer escape from the heat. Visitors can stroll along routes such as the Hehuanjian Mountain and Hehuan East Peak trails, enjoying arrow bamboo grasslands, alpine vegetation, and Taiwan's unique high-mountain scenery along the way. There is also a chance to encounter birds like the Taiwan hwamei, Taiwan bullfinch, and rock bunting.
The Nantou Forest District Office said that the sea of clouds in the Hehuanshan area changes dramatically in the summer afternoons. On clear days, visitors can gaze at the Qilai Mountain Range and the Central Mountain Range in the distance, admire the brilliant sunset in the evening, and enjoy a sky full of stars and the Milky Way at night with minimal light pollution. Hehuanshan has its own charm in all four seasons, and summer is the best time to get close to the high mountains and escape the sweltering heat. Visitors are welcome to admire the magnificent mountain views, sea of clouds, starry skies, and rich alpine ecology.
Cingjing Farm, managed by the Veterans Affairs Council, Executive Yuan, is a scenic spot on the way to Hehuanshan. Cingjing Farm announced today that from August 8 to August 26, it will host a limited-time "Summer Ranch Grand Parade" every Wednesday during the summer vacation, focusing on family companionship. Those under 18 years old traveling with family will receive a discounted group ticket price of NT$150, inviting parents to walk with their children in Cingjing Farm, known as "Taiwan's Little Switzerland."
