Key News on Russia's Invasion of Ukraine
(CNA Kyiv, July 2, Combined Reports) Russia launched a large-scale missile and drone attack on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, early this morning, increasing the death toll to at least 17 and leaving over 90 injured. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy stated that search and rescue operations are still ongoing.

Most missiles and drones were intercepted by air defense systems, but 33 missiles or drones still hit their targets. Explosions were heard across Kyiv during the night.
Zelenskyy (Volodymyr Zelenskyy) said the attack damaged over 20 locations in Kyiv, mostly residential buildings, as well as ambulance stations, research institutions, hotels, and other commercial facilities. A six-story building in Kyiv partially collapsed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed today that it had launched a "large-scale strike" on Kyiv in "response to the terrorist attacks by the Kyiv regime on civilian infrastructure."
