(CNA San Francisco, July 2nd, International News) NBA Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton, who averaged a career-high 12.3 points per game last season, has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $11 million contract to stay with the Warriors.
ESPN reporter Shams Charania, citing sources, reported that Melton, who had become a free agent, agreed to a two-year, $11 million deal to remain with the Warriors, with the second year being a player option.
This means the 28-year-old Melton will continue to provide backcourt support for the Warriors' star player Stephen Curry.
Melton played in 49 games for the Warriors last season, setting a personal career-high scoring average of 12.3 points per game.
He previously played for the Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, and Philadelphia 76ers, joining the Warriors in the 2024 offseason. However, due to a left ACL injury, his 2024-25 season was cut short, and he only played in 6 games. (Intern Intern: Hong Yu-tong / Editor: Hong Pei-ying) 1150702
