(CNA Reporter Huang Chao-wen, Taipei, July 2nd) Due to a power equipment anomaly between Nanzhou and Linbian on Taiwan Railways this afternoon, single-line bi-directional operation was temporarily implemented. Taiwan Railways stated that after dispatching power units to the site for处理, normal bi-directional operation was restored at 6:03 PM.

Taiwan Railways announced via a message that at 4:36 PM today, they received a report of a power equipment anomaly on the eastern main line between Nanzhou and Linbian. The affected section was temporarily operated with single-line bi-directional traffic on the western main line. Additionally, the No. 422 Puyuma Express train at Nanzhou Station was unable to depart due to a VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breaker) failure caused by the power equipment anomaly. Passengers have been arranged to transfer to the No. 3078 train.
