(CNA, reporter Chung, Rung-feng, Taipei, July 2nd) Foxconn's ex-dividend trading began today, with the cash dividend adjusted to NT$7.17179227 per share. Foxconn opened at a reference price of NT$241 today. In early trading, its stock price fluctuated, reaching a low of NT$238, a decrease of 1.24%, striving to maintain the flat line.
Foxconn's shareholders' meeting at the end of May approved a cash dividend of NT$7.2 per share, a new high since its listing in 1991. Calculated based on an estimated net profit per share of NT$13.61 in 2025, the payout ratio is 52.9%, exceeding 50% for the seventh consecutive year.
Foxconn announced in mid-June that due to bondholders of its overseas unsecured convertible bonds applying for conversion into common shares, affecting the total number of outstanding shares, the board of directors authorized the chairman to adjust the dividend payout ratio.
Observing second-quarter operations, Foxconn previously stated that the second quarter is traditionally a slow season for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry, with major products entering a transition period between old and new generations. However, AI server racks are expected to maintain a growth trend. The second-quarter operational outlook is significantly better than expected with substantial quarter-on-quarter growth, but continuous attention is still needed for the impact of volatile global political and economic situations.
Foxconn previously pointed out that the group has earned more than one board lot for five consecutive years. AI applications are the biggest contributor to Foxconn Group's continuously record-breaking profits. The group continues to move towards the goal of profit maximization, creating higher earnings per share (EPS) to allow shareholders to share more operating results. In the future, the group aims to achieve the goal of earning two board lots annually.
Foxconn is scheduled to distribute cash dividends on July 31st, with an estimated total distribution amount of NT$100.931 billion. Based on a rough estimate of the shareholding of major shareholder and Foxconn founder Terry Gou, which was approximately 1.739 billion shares as of May this year, he will receive NT$12.47 billion in dividends at that time.
