Mayday Returns to Taipei Dome, Cheer Chen as Guest, First Performance of New Song "Alive"

(CNA, Taipei, July 3) Mayday returned to the Taipei Dome tonight with their 5525+2 "Return to That Day" concert, specially inviting Cheer Chen as a guest. They took the audience back to "No. 7 Park," singing "Running to the Moon" and "Guitarist" together. Mayday also performed their new song "Alive" for the first time.

Starting tonight, Mayday will hold their 5525+2 "Return to That Day" 25th Anniversary Tour concert on July 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 12. A 13-meter-tall Jurassic dinosaur prop, a bus circling the venue, and time machine special effects provided an immersive experience for the audience.

After Cheer Chen took the stage, she not only sang "Running to the Moon" with Mayday, but lead singer Ashin also picked up a guitar to sing "Guitarist" together, making the audience feel as if they were transported back to the Daan Forest Park concert in 2017. Cheer Chen also joked, "I used to be very envious. Mayday is so nice! They can stall for time just by talking." Ashin jokingly replied, "Did I hear that right? You said we stall for time by talking. After 25 years, you've finally found out." Mayday also jokingly exclaimed that if Cheer Chen were to hold a concert, they would want to be her "happy little buddies" (referring to guest performers).

During the song request segment, a mother-daughter fan duo from Shizuoka, Japan, were lucky winners. They revealed that they usually live in Taipei and have attended every concert at the Taipei Dome, as well as the shows at the Beijing National Stadium and in Hong Kong. Mayday not only went down to take photos with the lucky fans but also invited the lead singer of the band Tizzy Bac, Kuo Hsi, who was sitting nearby, to join them for a photo.

During the concert, while singing "The Best Day," Mayday rode dinosaur props around the venue. Pterodactyl props also flew around the arena, and small dinosaurs swayed to the music. The new song "Alive" at the end of the show heated the atmosphere to its peak. (Editor: Huang Ming-hsi) 1150703
