(Central News Agency, Reporter Wang Hong-kuo, New Taipei, July 6) The Finance Committee of the Legislative Yuan inspected New Taipei City's transportation and public construction today. The New Taipei Second Administrative Center, currently undergoing renovation, will soon break through the continuous wall of the MRT Xianse Temple Station to add an MRT connection channel on the B2 level, providing the public with a more convenient environment for official business.

The Legislative Yuan's Finance Committee's morning inspection was presided over by DPP Legislator Li Kun-cheng. DPP New Taipei City Mayoral Candidate and Legislator Su Chiao-hui, KMT Legislators Lo Ming-tsai and Hung Meng-kai, along with representatives from central and New Taipei City governments, local councilors, and village chiefs, participated. Discussions were lively, and the meeting concluded around noon.

During the meeting, attendees received briefings on the planning for the New Taipei Second Administrative Center and underground parking lots for San Chong Kaiyuan Park, Liuzhang Park, and Datong Park, as well as the plans for adding stations A2a and A5a to the Airport MRT and the Wutai Light Rail project. The progress of several other important local construction projects, including the Silver New Future City and the expansion of the New Taipei City Hospital's Sanchong Branch, was also discussed.

According to the presentations from various units, the Silver New Future City's first BOT tender was unsuccessful, and the tender documents are currently under review. The project will be re-announced for investment attraction later. The proposed new stations A2a and A5a on the Airport MRT, located in Sanchong and Taishan respectively, have garnered significant attention and concern from Hung Meng-kai and Li Kun-cheng.

The New Taipei City Government's MRT Engineering Bureau stated that due to the bankruptcy of the Airport MRT's signaling system supplier, the need for additional stations will only be considered when future signaling system replacement plans are made. However, with a cost of NT$14.66 billion, it is beyond the local government's capacity to bear, and the Ministry of Transportation should take responsibility for its promotion.

The Second Administrative Center, which is part of New Taipei's development blueprint alongside Banqiao Newest Special District and Xinzhuang Sub-center, is currently undergoing renovation. Relevant bureaus and departments, such as the Police Bureau and the Department of Health, will gradually move in by the end of the year. It will integrate the report center, command center, emergency response center, and food safety intelligent monitoring center, positioning it as the hub of New Taipei's technological safety command system.

The New Taipei City Government's Public Works Bureau indicated that in addition to the underground parking lots, they will soon break through the underground continuous wall of the MRT Xinzhuang Line's Xianse Temple Station to add an MRT connection channel on the B2 level, providing the public with a more convenient environment for official business.
