LONDON (CNA) - As the quarterly earnings season gets underway, the rally in technology stocks is gradually fading, and major European stock indices showed a volatile and fluctuating pattern today.

The FTSE 100 index in London fell 27.26 points, or 0.26%, to close at 10651.77 points.

The DAX index in Frankfurt rose 38.58 points, or 0.15%, to close at 25817.89 points.
