Pingtung's Popular Model Exhibition Features Classic Characters from Marvel, One Piece, and More

(Central News Agency, reporter Li Huiting, Pingtung County, July 7) The third installment of the Pingtung Yanwuchang "Pingtung Heart" special exhibition, "Legendary Intersecting Platform," opened today. It brings together four Pingtung local collectors, focusing on popular models, including classic characters from Marvel American heroes and One Piece, inviting the public to visit and find their own stories.

The Pingtung County Government issued a press release today stating that "Legendary Intersecting Platform" brings together American heroes from Marvel and DC, as well as classic characters from different eras and cultures such as "Naruto," "One Piece," and "Godzilla."

The Pingtung County Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that this exhibition invited four collectors from Pingtung from different fields. Lin Yusheng, who has been deeply involved in Southern Taiwan's street culture for over 20 years, has collected 1/6 scale action figures for more than 10 years. From character research to detail in styling, he has realized his childhood yearning for the world of movies and anime. Lin Zhenming, who is also a real estate consultant, math teacher, and toy store owner, has been collecting anime figures for nearly 10 years. From "Naruto" to "One Piece," each complete collection carries childhood memories and has accompanied him through different stages of life.

Wang Weiren, a professional prototype artist who has been authorized by Toho Co., Ltd. multiple times, has been fascinated by biological observation since childhood. He began his 25-year collecting journey after encountering tokusatsu films. Monster characters are not only cherished collectibles but also important inspirations for his prototype creations. Huang Xiaoyin, with 30 years of collecting experience, moved from science fiction movies to model making, believing that the true meaning of collecting is to "collect what you love," making each piece a part of healing the soul and realizing dreams.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that through the sharing of the four collectors, they hope to lead the audience to see the depth of collecting culture through character models and find their own stories. The exhibition runs from today until October 11. (Editor: Chen Renhua) 1150707
