(Central News Agency Reporter Tseng Jen-kai Taipei, July 7) Asus International, a 3C retailer under the Asus Group, announced today that its June revenue was NT$3.46 billion, an increase of 12.4% month-on-month and 50.7% year-on-year, setting a new historical second-highest record, second only to NT$3.561 billion in July last year.
Asus International's Q2 revenue reached NT$9.598 billion, an increase of 23.3% quarter-on-quarter and 49.6% year-on-year, setting a new historical record for quarterly revenue. Accumulated revenue for the first half of the year was NT$17.379 billion, an increase of 34.6% year-on-year.
Asus International explained that the record-high Q2 revenue was mainly due to the continued corporate upgrade cycle and the simultaneous increase in demand for AI applications, which drove steady growth in revenue for desktop and notebook computers. In addition, in terms of components, memory and HDD benefited significantly from the rise in DRAM and SSD prices, contributing significantly to profits. Coupled with a significant increase in shipments of professional graphics cards and workstations, these factors combined to boost revenue growth.
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Asus International stated that with the boost from the traditional electronics industry peak season effect, overall shipments are expected to maintain steady growth. (Editor: Chang Chun-mao) 1150707
