(Central News Agency, Reporter Wang Bao'er, Taipei, July 7) The Japanese manga "Rakudai Ninja Rantarō," adapted into the highly popular anime "Nintama Rantarō" in Taiwan, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The Japan Pavilion at the 2026 Comic Exhibition announced today that it will invite the original manga artist Nijiko Sōbei to visit Taiwan on the 25th to share behind-the-scenes stories.

The Japanese 2.5D musical "Nintama Rantarō" held its first event in Taiwan last year at the Comic Exhibition, attracting a large number of fans. This year, the Japan Pavilion at the Comic Exhibition will host the first overseas original art exhibition for "Rakudai Ninja Rantarō," and will also feature photo spots and other content, creating a space where audiences can immerse themselves in the world of the work.

The Japan Pavilion at the 2026 Comic Exhibition stated in a press release today that Nijiko Sōbei's visit to Taiwan will include participation in two limited stage events. The first event will feature a dialogue with manga artist Ruan Guangmin, known for works such as "The Old Shop of the Nine," and the second event will allow Nijiko Sōbei to interact closely with fans.

The Japan Pavilion at the 2026 Comic Exhibition stated that both stage events are open to free admission and will include a Q&A session, inviting the public to ask Nijiko Sōbei questions. (Editor: Li Shuhua) 1150707
