(CNA, Reporter Lin Chia-lien, Kaohsiung, July 7) Sister Mylod of Wenzao Ursuline University passed away yesterday at the age of 93. The university issued a statement mourning her passing, stating that Sister Mylod was sent from the UK to Taiwan in 1973 and served at Wenzao for over 50 years, nurturing countless students. She was not only dedicated to language education but also accompanied students through her example.

Dr. Ellen Mary Elizabeth Mylod, OSU, President of Wenzao Ursuline University, expressed gratitude for Sister Mylod's lifelong dedication to education, bringing love and care to generations of students. She prayed that the merciful God would accept her lifelong hard work and dedication and grant her eternal rest.

The university will hold a funeral Mass at Huayu Hall on campus at 9:30 AM on the 16th, followed by a memorial Mass at 2:00 PM on August 11th. The university stated that Sister Mylod passed away at 6:04 AM yesterday and thanked her for over half a century of selfless dedication to education and students, inviting alumni and concerned individuals from all walks of life to join in remembrance and prayer.

Many people left messages on Wenzao University's Facebook page mourning Sister Mylod's passing. One netizen said, "I am very grateful to the sister for her individual guidance on English writing in the past and for her dedication to education." Another commented, "I was fortunate to have taken Sister Mylod's Latin course. She meticulously explained the stories of Pompeii, allowing students not only to learn the language but also to learn to love God and man and to view the world with compassion."

Wenzao Ursuline University stated that in recent years, even at an advanced age, Sister Mylod continued to care for students and young people, accompanying them in their growth and practicing the mission of education with her life, becoming a shared life model for many at Wenzao.
