Divine Bow Exercise Appears in Pingtung, First Use of Man-Portable Stinger Missiles Hits Target Drones

(Central News Agency, Taipei, July 7) Military News Agency reported today that the Army's precision missile firing exercise took place in Manzhou, Pingtung yesterday. During the "Divine Bow Exercise," units including the Matsu Defense Command and the 99th Marine Brigade used man-portable Stinger missiles for live-fire drills for the first time. Soldiers quickly completed tracking and locking onto targets and accurately hit the drones, demonstrating excellent low-altitude air defense interception capabilities and combat readiness.

Military News Agency reported in the evening that to verify the results of troop training, the Army's 2026 precision missile firing exercise took place in the Manzhou area of Pingtung yesterday. Participating units executed air defense engagement and missile firing drills according to operational procedures and simulated scenarios, verifying weapon system performance and soldiers' combat readiness through live troops, equipment, and ammunition.

Military News Agency pointed out that in the "Divine Bow Exercise," the Army's Matsu Defense Command and the 99th Marine Brigade, among other units, used man-portable Stinger missiles for live-fire drills for the first time.
