The Maritime and Port Bureau announced that eastern sea routes will be suspended from the afternoon of the 8th until the 11th. According to observations by the Central Weather Administration, the center of Typhoon Bavi was located at 16.5 degrees north latitude and 138.4 degrees east longitude at 2 p.m. today, moving westward at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour.

Affected by Bavi, the Maritime and Port Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications issued a notice today stating that eastern sea routes will be completely suspended from the afternoon of the 8th to the 11th. The Keelung-Matsu and Yanpu-Xiaoliuqiu routes will be completely suspended from the 9th to the 11th.

The Maritime and Port Bureau pointed out that the Donggang-Xiaoliuqiu route will have partial suspensions on the 9th and be completely suspended from the 10th to the 11th. The Kaohsiung-Penghu route's original morning departure on the 10th has been moved forward to 11 a.m. on the 9th, the 10th's departure is suspended, and there will be no departures on the 11th. All other maritime passenger routes will maintain normal operations.

The Maritime and Port Bureau urges passengers to take advantage of the operating flights to return to Taiwan early and to postpone trips to outlying islands to avoid being stranded due to subsequent flight suspensions.
