(Central News Agency, Taipei, July 7) - The results for the 115th academic year's high school entrance examination were released today. A total of 120,620 students applied, with 119,664 accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 99.21%, the lowest in the past three years. 956 applicants were unsuccessful. The acceptance rates for Changhua District (98.43%) and Taipei-Keelung District (98.58%) were lower.
The Ministry of Education announced today that it provides multiple suitable entrance pathways for junior high school graduates. The 15 educational districts nationwide conducted the 115th academic year's senior high school entrance examination and special recruitment examination. The results were announced on July 7th, and students can check their results online from 11:00 AM. Registration is scheduled for July 9th.
For the 115th academic year's high school entrance examination, 120,620 students applied, and 119,664 were accepted, with an acceptance rate of 99.21%. This is slightly lower than the 114th academic year (99.63%) and the lowest in the past three years. 956 applicants were unsuccessful. Among the educational districts, Hualien District and Penghu District had the highest acceptance rates at 100%, followed by Pingtung District (99.92%) and Zhunan-Miaoli District (99.82%). Lower rates were observed in Changhua District (98.43%), Taipei-Keelung District (98.58%), and Chiayi District (98.67%).
Regarding the special recruitment examination, data from the National Education Administration shows that for the 115th academic year, the Taipei-Keelung District, Taoyuan-Hsinchu District, and Chiayi District conducted these examinations. A total of 7 schools participated in the recruitment, offering 200 places. 301 students applied (142 in Taipei-Keelung District, 125 in Taoyuan-Hsinchu District, and 34 in Chiayi District), with 120 students accepted, for an overall acceptance rate of 39.87%.
The National Education Administration reminds accepted students to complete their registration according to the time and method specified by their admitted school. Before registering, students are encouraged to utilize the admissions promotion section on the school's website to inquire about the registration process and required documents, and to learn about the school's curriculum, development features, future pathways, and summer activities.
Students who were not accepted can apply for further recruitment through the special recruitment professional group and course selection entrance examination approved by the relevant authorities. A list of participating schools and enrollment numbers will be announced starting July 8th on the "Special Recruitment Professional Group and Course Selection Entrance Examination Website" (https://shs.k12ea.gov.tw/site/special).
Additionally, students can participate in the continued recruitment for the entrance examination approved by the relevant authorities.
