TAIPEI (CNA) - Taiwan Railways' ticketing system experienced a major outage this morning, affecting passengers' ability to purchase tickets. Taiwan Railways apologized, stating that the malfunction was due to an abnormal chilled water unit in the ticketing machine room. After emergency repairs, the ticketing system was restored to normal at 6:23 AM. They will continue to monitor the equipment and system operations.

Taiwan Railways explained via a message that around 2:53 AM today, monitoring detected an abnormal chilled water unit in the ticketing machine room. An emergency response mechanism was activated immediately, notifying stations to switch to an offline ticketing mode, and all efforts were made to troubleshoot and restore the system.

Taiwan Railways pointed out that after repairs, normal ticketing system services were restored at 6:23 AM today. They are currently continuing to monitor the equipment and system operations to ensure stable ticketing services.
