(CNA, reporter Chiang Ming-yan, Taipei, July 8) Taiwan stocks closed up 255.3 points today, ending at 45734.41, nearing the monthly moving average resistance level of approximately 45762 points. TSMC surged in late trading, closing at NT$2465, up NT$25, a gain of 1.02%.
Observing heavyweight stocks, Yageo turned negative, falling below the NT$900 mark. The PCB sector rebounded, with substrate makers including Kinsus surging to the daily limit, and Nan Ya PCB and Unimicron closing higher.
