Shilin Branch to Auction Luxury Cars on July 14, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce to Attract Attention

(Central News Agency, Taipei, July 8) The Shilin Branch of the Executive Administration Agency announced today that it will hold a "Dream Luxury Car Auction" at 10:30 AM on July 14, publicly auctioning luxury cars such as Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz. The public is welcome to attend and bid.

The Shilin Branch of the Ministry of Justice's Executive Administration Agency issued a press release stating that the vehicles to be auctioned are assets seized by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office in a case involving a group suspected of violating the Banking Act, fraud, and other crimes. To prevent high-value vehicles from depreciating due to long-term parking and to expedite the conversion of criminal proceeds into assets that can be returned to victims, the policy of the Executive Yuan's "Five Strikes, Seven Safeguards" will be implemented.

According to the press release, the vehicles to be auctioned include a 2019 October model gold Ferrari 812 GTS supercar equipped with a 6496c.c. V12 naturally aspirated engine, and a 2014 August model light yellow Ferrari F12 Berlinetta supercar.

In addition, a 2017 April model white Rolls-Royce Wraith coupe, a 2017 March model light blue Porsche 718 Boxster S, and a 2022 March model white Mercedes-Benz A180 will also be auctioned.

The Shilin Branch stated that to allow the public to inspect the auction items in person, a "Dream Luxury Car Appreciation Event" will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on the auction day, allowing the public to view the cars on-site.

The Shilin Branch reminds the public that registration for this auction will begin at 9:30 AM on July 14 and will close at 10:30 AM. Bidders must bring their identification documents for registration and pay a deposit of NT$3,000 in cash to receive a number plate to participate in the bidding. The number of plates is limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Bidding will commence promptly at 10:30 AM.
