Rti Celebrates 98th Anniversary, Invites Migrant Workers in Taiwan to Participate in Food and Music Festival

(Central News Agency, Taipei, July 8) To celebrate its 98th anniversary, the Central Broadcasting System (Rti) will hold a Vietnamese, Indonesian, Filipino, and Thai cultural food and music festival on August 9. The event integrates AI technology to support five languages, creating an online civic forum that transcends language barriers, allowing migrant friends to freely discuss issues such as food, clothing, housing, and transportation in Taiwan on the platform.

The "Rti VIPT Four-Language Resonance - Vietnamese, Indonesian, Filipino, and Thai Cultural Food and Music Festival" will take place on August 9 at the Grand Hyatt Taipei's Flora Expo Park and Circular Plaza. Migrant friends, international students, and Taiwanese citizens from Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand currently in Taiwan are welcome to register.

The event features registration on the "RtiTalk" multilingual information co-creation platform. This platform utilizes generative AI technology to integrate five languages: Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Filipino (English), and Thai, transforming migrant friends from "information receivers" into "public participants" and creating a new type of media service that promotes social inclusion.

As an important communication bridge between Taiwan and international and foreign communities, Rti provides broadcasting services in 18 languages. The outdoor event celebrating Rti's 98th anniversary on August 9 will feature consecutive performances by singers, bands, and dance troupes from Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand, allowing migrant communities to experience the inclusivity and beauty of Taiwan through music, food, and cultural exchange.

Migrant friends from Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand in Taiwan have long been indispensable partners in Taiwanese society.
