(CNA, Hsinchu, July 8) - Memory controller chip manufacturer Phison Electronics announced its self-reported revenue for June reached NT$24.853 billion, setting a new historical high. This represents a 9% increase month-on-month and an over 300% increase year-on-year. Phison stated that the simultaneous increase in shipment volume and average selling price in June drove revenue to a new record.

Phison's revenue for the second quarter was NT$67.888 billion, also a single-quarter historical high, up 66% quarter-on-quarter. Accumulated revenue for the first half of the year surpassed the NT$100 billion mark, reaching NT$108.855 billion, a 243% increase year-on-year.

Phison CEO K.S. Pua stated in a press release that with the continued expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and the gradual shift of generative AI from model training to large-scale AI inference applications, the demand for NAND Flash memory remains highly robust. The market supply and demand are still very tight, with no clear signs of easing.

Pua added that order demand from cloud service providers (CSPs) and AI-related customers remains steady, with order visibility for some projects extending to the first half of 2027.

Pua said that the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure is expected to continuously increase the revenue contribution from enterprise-grade Solid State Drives (SSDs) and various high-value-added AI storage solutions, which will become a significant driving force for Phison's future growth.
