TAIPEI (CNA) - In response to the Financial Supervisory Commission's (FSC) "Open Securities 2.0" policy and to continuously promote the development of the fintech ecosystem, Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC), in collaboration with the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX), the Securities Investment Trust and Consulting Association, and securities firms, has jointly developed two application services: the "e-Keeper App Futures Data Query Link" and the "Online Transmission of Financial Strength Data." These services were announced to be launched today as part of Open Securities 2.0.
Lin Ping-hui, Chairman of TDCC, stated that this phase of Open Securities focuses on "promoting open finance and achieving dual-axis prosperity." By integrating resources across markets and multiple institutions, the aim is to create diverse and rich innovative financial application scenarios and expand the reach of inclusive finance.
Lin Ping-hui added that to enhance asset integration, the TDCC's e-Keeper App has added a futures data query service, which has become a valuable tool for investors to consolidate their assets. To date, over 7.8 million securities accounts have registered for its use. Leveraging this large customer base, TDCC has further collaborated with TAIFEX to promote asset integration between the securities and futures markets.
Furthermore, investors will soon be able to authenticate their identity and grant authorization through TAIFEX's "Trader Personal Data Query System." With this, they can view their futures account openings, outstanding balances, and transaction data in a one-stop shop within the e-Keeper App. This will consolidate their securities, funds, banking, and futures positions onto a single digital platform, significantly enhancing digital convenience and the value of inclusive finance.
He pointed out that another innovative service launched with Open Securities 2.0 is the "Online Transmission of Financial Strength Data Service," driven by the concept of an "Open Data Center," which aims to reshape the digital financial experience for investors.
TDCC explained that this service precisely meets the needs of investors applying for services with securities firms, such as adjusting trading limits or applying for margin accounts. The application function is embedded within the digital financial software of securities firms. With a simple e-operation, investors can securely transmit their asset holdings and transaction details from their other securities accounts online to the securities firm where they are applying for services. This eliminates the inconvenience of traditional in-person submissions of paper documents or the data fragmentation and cybersecurity risks associated with using interface screenshots, thereby providing a highly efficient and seamless financial service experience.
The first eight securities firms to launch this service are Yuanta Securities, KGI Securities, Fubon Securities, SinoPac Securities, Cathay Securities, Capital Investment Trust Corporation, E.SUN Securities, and First Financial Securities, collectively ushering in a new era of open finance for the securities market.
