(Central News Agency, Taipei, July 8) As Typhoon Bavi approaches, China Airlines announced flight adjustments today. Tomorrow's CI122/CI123 flights between Taoyuan and Okinawa will be moved up, while the CI120/CI121 and CI122/CI123 flights between Taoyuan and Okinawa, and the CI132/CI133 flights between Kaohsiung and Okinawa on July 10 will be canceled.

According to the Central Weather Bureau's website, as of 2 PM today, the center of Typhoon Bavi was located 1380 kilometers east-southeast of Eluanbi, moving northwest-by-west at a speed of 21 knots, shifting to 17 knots. The maximum wind speed near the center is 60 meters per second, with a 7-level wind radius of 380 kilometers.

Affected by Typhoon Bavi, China Airlines issued a press release this evening stating that tomorrow's CI122/CI123 flights between Taoyuan and Okinawa will be moved up.

China Airlines pointed out that on July 10, the CI120/CI121 and CI122/CI123 flights between Taoyuan and Okinawa, as well as the CI132/CI133 flights between Kaohsiung and Okinawa will all be canceled. Flights from Taoyuan to North America, Europe, and Australia departing after 6 PM will also be canceled.

China Airlines stated that it will continue to update flight adjustment information based on the typhoon's path changes and advises passengers to check the latest flight status on the China Airlines website, by downloading the Mobile APP, or by using the mobile SMS reminder function.
