(CNA, Yilan, July 8) - With Typhoon Bavi approaching, the Yilan County Government's Cultural Affairs Bureau announced today that the 2026 Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival will implement a precautionary closure starting at 6 PM tomorrow, July 9, and will be closed all day on July 10. All river activities will be suspended all day tomorrow, and performance schedules have been adjusted to ensure visitor safety.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that to ensure visitor safety, the festival has activated its typhoon preparedness mechanism. A precautionary closure will be in effect from 6 PM tomorrow, with the entire park closed on July 10, to minimize damage to the park from the typhoon's wind and rain. Dragon boat, sailing, and canoe experiences in the river area will be suspended all day tomorrow.
