The Tainan City Government's Water Resources Bureau stated today that the city will gradually be affected by the typhoon's outer circulation starting this afternoon, with the most severe impact expected tomorrow and the day after. Coastal areas should be aware of level 10 gusts, and there is a possibility of localized heavy rain and localized torrential rain in mountainous areas. Tainan has already launched typhoon preparedness measures, inspecting drainage systems, hydraulic structures, ongoing construction projects, pumping stations, fuel for mobile pumps, and flood control materials in various areas.

In addition, the water levels in detention ponds have been lowered in advance. After the drainage is completed, approximately 11 million metric tons of storage capacity will be added.
