Heavy Rain and Torrential Rain Warning for New Taipei, Nantou, Yunlin, and Mountainous Areas of Hsinchu County; Localized Heavy Rain North of Chiayi

The Central Weather Administration has issued a torrential rain advisory as convective cloud systems are developing strongly in the afternoon, increasing the risk of short-duration heavy rainfall. Today, localized heavy or torrential rain is expected in New Taipei City, Nantou County, Yunlin County, and mountainous areas of Hsinchu County. There is also a likelihood of localized heavy rain in areas north of Chiayi.

The administration warns of potential lightning strikes and strong gusty winds. Mountainous regions should remain vigilant against landslides, rockfalls, and sudden river flooding, while low-lying areas should take precautions against water accumulation. (Editor: Kuan Chung-wei) 1150713
