Special Report on Heavy Rain in New Taipei City: Preventing Heavy Rain in Yunlin and Nantou

The Central Weather Bureau predicts that the development of convective cloud systems in the afternoon will make short-term heavy rainfall more likely. There is a possibility of localized heavy rain or torrential rain in New Taipei City, and there is also a possibility of localized heavy rain in Yunlin and areas north of it, Nantou, Hengchun Peninsula, and the mountainous areas of Chiayi. The Weather Bureau has called on residents to be aware of lightning strikes and strong winds, and to be aware of landslides, falling rocks, and sudden increases in river water levels in mountainous areas, and to be aware of flooding in low-lying areas.
