(Taipei, 13th - Reporter Chung Jung-feng) KYMCO Chairman Kevin Ko stated today that Taiwan currently has 14.68 million motorcycles in circulation, with over 13.1 million still actively in use. As a fellow rider, Ko emphasized that the massive motorcycling population represents one of Taiwan's most distinctive lifestyle characteristics.

The 2026 International Heavy Motorcycle Exhibition continued today, with KYMCO holding a press conference for its second-half new vehicle lineup. Ko personally unveiled the CV-X45, a next-generation large-capacity yellow-license flagship crossover off-road motorcycle, making its debut in production-ready form. He announced it will launch as early as the first quarter of 2027. Ko also revealed that pre-orders for the white-license flagship touring model, the New X-Town ST250, are now open.

Ko noted that KYMCO has been deeply rooted in Taiwan for over 60 years, accumulating over 5.08 million units in market ownership. This means more than one-third of consumers in Taiwan rely on KYMCO vehicles for daily commuting, work, and lifestyle needs.

In overseas markets, Ko highlighted that KYMCO exports to 110 countries worldwide. In Argentina, KYMCO has ranked first in scooter market share for six consecutive years. In the Dominican Republic, it consistently holds a top-three market position. In Morocco, the company performs strongly in both 50cc scooters and ATVs (all-terrain vehicles).

Ko also mentioned that overseas OEM electric vehicle business is progressing smoothly. The electric motorcycles produced for Harley-Davidson's electric brand LiveWire are expected to officially launch through dedicated brand channels as early as August this year. (Edited by Yang Kai-xiang)
