US-Iran War Key News

(Central News Agency, Tehran, 13th -综合 foreign media report) The United States and Iran have launched attacks that are shaking the Middle East, with a scale unseen since the April ceasefire, and Iran claims that U.S. attacks have caused two deaths. This round of fighting centers on the strategic Strait of Hormuz, threatening international efforts toward a permanent end to hostilities.

According to AFP, as the United States continues its attacks on Iran today, the Iranian government has warned that if the U.S. fails to fulfill its commitments, Iran will no longer abide by the ceasefire framework agreement.

Iran has also targeted Gulf states, with its powerful Revolutionary Guards announcing a new round of strikes against Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and Oman.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, referring to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in June, stated: "Undoubtedly, this document is in crisis."

"Whenever the other side fails to fulfill its obligations, we will not uphold our own. We will continue to act in this manner."

However, Baqaei also said that Iran continues to engage in ongoing negotiations with mediation representatives from Qatar, Pakistan, and Oman, hoping to prevent further escalation.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that U.S. forces have completed a new round of overnight attacks targeting dozens of Iranian sites.

U.S. forces deployed aircraft, naval vessels, and drones, using precision munitions to strike dozens of targets across multiple locations, aiming to weaken Iran's ability to continue attacking international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Iran's Fars News Agency and Tasnim News Agency, U.S. attacks today targeted oil-producing regions in southwestern Iran near Kuwait and Iraq, resulting in two deaths and three injuries.

Mehr News Agency earlier reported unexplained explosion sounds around noon today in southern regions, noting that "the sounds appear to have originated from the western coast of Bandar Abbas."

Iranian state television reported that Iran fired "warning shots" today at two vessels attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. (Translation: Yang Chaoyan) 1150713
