The first day of the 115th academic year Subject Proficiency Test was held today. The College Entrance Examination Center reported that 15 administrative districts remained closed due to Typhoon Bavi. The Center individually contacted 43 examinees residing in these areas, all of whom confirmed their ability to take the exams as scheduled.
The first day of the 115th academic year Subject Proficiency Test featured the Chemistry exam in the second session, with 20,955 examinees registering. A total of 1,891 were absent, resulting in an absence rate of 9.02%. The College Entrance Examination Center provided an overview of test administration after the exam concluded.
According to Zhang Xin-ren from the College Entrance Examination Center, two additional backup examination rooms were activated during the Chemistry test. One examinee in Taipei experienced dizziness, and another in Zhongli emitted noise during the exam; both were relocated to backup rooms.
Regarding violations, preliminary statistics from the Center showed 24 incidents during the Physics exam. Seventeen cases involved examinees failing to present valid identification documents before the end of the test session. Another three cases involved examinees continuing to write after the conclusion bell.
Originally scheduled for July 11 and 12, the Subject Proficiency Test was postponed to July 13 and 14 due to Typhoon Bavi. Some districts remained closed on the day prior to the rescheduled exam.
Zhang noted that 15 administrative districts across Taiwan suspended operations on the previous day. The Center’s staff contacted all 43 examinees in these areas individually.
