According to reports from Central News Agency, as Typhoon Bavi moved away from Taiwan, sea and air transportation services to Matsu resumed normal operations on the 13th. As of noon, around 50 passengers remained at Nangan Airport and about 20 at Beigan Airport, with expectations that all would be transported back to Taiwan's main island via standby or scheduled flights.
The Lienchiang County Government's Transportation and Tourism Bureau stated that due to the impact of Typhoon Bavi, all sea and air transport services to Matsu were suspended from the afternoon of the 10th until the 12th. As of the 13th, all flights and ferry services have resumed, except for the ferry route between Nangan and Daciu.
The bureau noted that many travelers canceled their flights scheduled for today due to the typhoon, resulting in numerous vacant seats, which were then used to accommodate stranded passengers. The ferry vessel 'New Tai-Ma' adjusted its route to an 'East Ma-East Tai' service, departing from Keelung, stopping sequentially at Dongyin, Nangan, returning to Dongyin, and then back to Keelung, successfully transporting 171 stranded passengers.
At Nangan Airport on the morning of the 13th, passengers were seen patiently waiting to board flights back to Taiwan's main island, with order generally maintained. The bureau confirmed that since civilian air and sea transport were sufficient to handle the evacuation, no military aircraft were requested. The entire evacuation operation is expected to be completed by the end of the day.
