(CNA reporter Wang Pao-erh, Taipei, 13th) The 2nd F:F:F Taiwan-Finland Cultural Festival recently concluded in Finland, featuring performances by Taiwan's Representative Freddy Lim and musical acts such as Fire EX. and BAILIHUA, alongside Finland's first Taiwan-themed market. Organizers reported over 50,000 attendees, making it a grand celebration of Taiwan-Finland cultural exchange.

Aligned with the 'Taiwan Culture in Europe 2026' initiative, the F:F:F-Formosa : Finland : Fest. Taiwan-Finland Cultural Festival was held on November 11 at Narinkkatori Square in Helsinki, Finland. The event, guided by Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Council of Indigenous Peoples and hosted by the Taiwan Cultural Association, attracted numerous Finnish locals. Prominent Finnish KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) visited the food stalls, praising Taiwanese cuisine, with one exclaiming, 'I absolutely love bubble tea!'

Huang Ching-hui, Deputy Secretary-General of the Taiwan Cultural Association, stated in a press release that the 2nd F:F:F festival showcased Taiwan's proud cultural heritage, cuisine, and music to build friendship with Finland. Crowds gathered even before the market officially opened, eagerly anticipating the festivities. The fried chicken from the FORMOSA NIGHTS booth was especially popular, nearly selling out within an hour of opening—demonstrating the universal appeal of Taiwanese food.

Huang emphasized that music was another highlight of the festival. Despite language differences, many Finnish attendees were immersed in the Taiwanese music, swaying and humming along. 'Music truly transcends borders and languages to bring people together in emotion,' she said.

The musical program opened with TAIWANIA, a group rooted in Taiwan's Indigenous music traditions. Their first song was the classic Taiwanese folk tune 'Diu Diu Dong Zai,' introducing Finnish audiences to Taiwan's traditional sounds. Freddy Lim then made a surprise appearance, joining TAIWANIA on stage to perform several iconic Chthonic hits.

The performances continued with Shiraz Lane, BAILIHUA, Fire EX., Ru Ni Dungi Sapor, and Jussi 69 taking turns on stage. Jussi 69, one of the world's most renowned Finnish rock stars, delivered a powerful set and expressed gratitude to both Taiwan and Finland. As the concert coincided with his birthday, he invited the audience to join him in celebrating on stage. (Edited by Chen Jen-hua) 1150713
