By Central News Agency reporter Jiang Mingyan, Taipei, July 14 — Litchi Hospitality recorded its highest post-pandemic revenue last year and continues to grow in 2024. In the first half of this year, revenue rose 15.2% year-on-year to NT$252 million. Both accommodation and dining segments performed strongly, each contributing approximately half of total revenue. While Q3 is traditionally a low season for hotels due to summer outbound travel, Q4 is expected to see renewed momentum driven by holiday demand and corporate year-end banquets.
La Brasserie, the French restaurant at the Litchi Landis Hotel in Taipei, will launch a new menu on the 16th, highlighting regional French cuisine. Litchi Hospitality stated that dining demand has been robust in recent years, with La Brasserie's revenue growing 30% last year, primarily due to a favorable economic environment.
Xu Yi-ning, General Manager of Litchi Hospitality Group, said 2025 marks a year of stable recovery and renewed growth momentum post-pandemic, with revenue reaching its highest level since the pandemic. The first half of 2024 has continued this upward trend.
Litchi Landis Hotel's H1 2024 revenue reached NT$252 million, up 15.2% year-on-year. Management noted that both accommodation and dining segments grew, with roughly equal contribution. Among the hotel's three restaurants, Tian Xiang Lou, which includes banquet facilities, contributed the most, accounting for about 60% of revenue. La Brasserie and Paris 1930 x Takayama Hideki contributed similarly. Litchi Fang, with counters in three department stores in Taipei, also contributed to revenue.
Summer is peak season for outbound travel among Taiwanese, reducing domestic dining and accommodation demand, making Q3 a traditional low season for hotels. Ongoing Middle East tensions continue to affect geopolitical stability, reigniting oil price volatility. If corporate budgets shrink, business-oriented hotels may be impacted. In contrast, Q4 is expected to benefit from holiday effects such as Christmas and corporate year-end gatherings, boosting operational momentum. (Editor: Zhang Junmao)
