On July 18, the 'Venus and Leo Constellation Star Story' event will be held at Checheng Haikou Beach, featuring star-gazing tours, photography sessions, and other activities, inviting participation from people across the country.
The county government released a press statement today, stating that the Pingtung stargazing season is centered around the theme 'Pingtung Monthly Stars,' integrating seasonal celestial phenomena with local attractions to plan year-round stargazing events. The July theme, 'Venus and Leo Constellation Star Story,' will take place at Haikou Beach in Checheng from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 18th.
The Pingtung County Department of Transportation and Tourism stated that Haikou Beach offers an open view, making it an ideal location for stargazing known as the 'Haikou Moonlight Sea.' On the event night, visitors can not only admire Venus shining brightly in the night sky but also stroll along the coast to experience the unique natural scenery of a summer night in Pingtung.
The event will feature a variety of activities, including stargazing tours, stargazing experiences, and astrophotography sessions, inviting the public to enjoy a romantic summer night accompanied by sea breezes and starlight.
The Department explained that through seasonal stargazing events with different themes, they aim to guide visitors to explore Pingtung following the stars, using the night sky as a new way to experience Pingtung's night tourism.
